This is my favourite pattern for using up students' leftovers when all they have are what I call "crumbs." It works perfectly with whatever you have on hand.

Looking at the "collage" of five rugs:

Carolyn Folsom obviously had a lot of red leftovers to use up for this nice "Calico" that she did (at the bottom right).

I just love how Flora Dressler did her Calico rug (it's the one at the top left) with her creative saying in the border; and the flowers done in sections! This was started when I taught a leftover wool usage class in Milwaukee.
